Tesuque Stucco far exceeded any expectations that we had for: 1) Quality of the work, 2) Durability of the product used, 3) Tesuque Stucco’s Reliability, and 4) The sheer aesthetic beauty of the stucco and overall finished job.
Per the Quality of the work. This was not a “slop the stucco on and get paid” project. With their steady pace, it took longer than the other stucco contractors that we had received bids from – i.e., companies located both Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Tesuque Stucco often had over a dozen men on the project at any given time. This is probably the basis for their offering a 12-year warranty.
Per Durability of the product used, Tesuque Stucco did (as their website says) select the highest quality of stucco for the project. This was confirmed by an engineer (our property manager) who did deep “product research” of all available stucco products on the market.
So far, the stucco that Tesuque Stucco applied is holding up like steel through windy/wet/freezing winter weather and the intense Summer heat.
That said, we did have a problem that affected the stucco. The house has a structural issue. The first story is adobe and the second story is regular wood-fame construction. The contraction and expansion between the two caused a slow separation on the outside wall that produced a hairline crack.
When Tesuque Stucco was called for advice, they immediately scheduled a supervisor (Andres) to come and inspect it. I was expecting a typical recommendation that I get my ladder out and caulk it with silicon – which I had tentatively considered to be the easiest/cheapest solution. Or, more likely, I was expecting a robust estimate of cost from Tesuque Stucco to professionally repair the crack.
After showing them the crack I left them for ten minutes to take a phone call, while they got their ladder to do an inspection. When I returned, they were already repairing the crack with an industrial strength fiber sheet and a robust gray cover-coat. And, they were also inspecting the rest of the house for any other needed stucco repairs. When done, Andres then told me that they would return in a week or so, after the repairs had dried, so as to put on the final stucco “color coat” (which would identically match the surrounding walls). Finally, and even more amazing, Andres and Jose said that there would be no charge for the repairs. Who else in New Mexico stands behind their work like this, even when they are not contractually required to do so? By-the-way, Jose did return and put on the “color coat” and it blends perfectly (no repair is visible).
Per Reliability, our property manager said that Tesuque Stucco’s sizable crew was on time and worked diligently. They cleaned up at the end of each day. But, one day, after they left, the wind suddenly blew stacked material all over the place. However, when the property manager called them about this, they immediately sent a whole crew back out to pick up. Tesuque Stucco is not only reliable, but dependable.
Per Esthetic Beauty, our house has exotic angles, curves or contours that would require experience, a steady hand, profound patience, and an artist’s eye to property restore. The house is an art-piece itself. It is said that many stucco contractors exemplify the comment that “anyone who can pick up a trowel can do stucco.” Not so.
We were overseas for more than six months when our house was being renovated and we were awed at the beauty of the stucco when we first spotted the house from the road. We love the way that the house’s exterior presentation has been accented with the stucco to acknowledge its many details, but we also love the stucco’s unique color, texture and consistency.
We understand that Tesuque Stucco is one of the most busy stucco companies in New Mexico (for many reasons), but when scheduling them for a project, if one is patient, Tesuque Stucco Co. is well worth waiting for.

You often can judge a company in how it reacts to customer concerns. Tesuque rallied from a less than ideal initial treatment, and at their expense sent a team to reapply a color that better matched expectations. We chose them based on the quality of work; their work applied to our home 10 years ago looks like it was applied yesterday. When our latest job didn't have the color we expected, their service stepped up to match the quality of their craft. We recommend TSC very highly — their work is lasting, and their service is textbook professionalism.

Ashton took a look at a water intrusion problem we were having with windows. We weren't sure if it was even necessary to re-stucco our house. After a walk around the house and a good, unhurried conversation, we felt Ashton assessed the situation honestly and clearly. He helped us to understand the condition and we decided not to re-stucco. However, we are strongly inclined to use Tesuque Stucco when we do, because of our interaction with Ashton. I really believe that good relations make for good marketing for businesses and in this case it really paid off.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire process. I met with Ashton who explained everything and was very professional and pleasant. Jordan went above and beyond to get my project scheduled in a reasonable timeframe. Felipe and his crew were amazing! They’re very hard workers, cleaned up at the end of the day, and in the end left my yard better than I had it. The total service was outstanding. We just had our house in Rio Rancho completed by Tesuque Stucco. The process was very professional along the way, and they worked within our limited schedule. The entire crew led by Omar was very efficient and carried out their work cleanly and quickly. They cleaned up after each day keeping the house from looking like a construction site. In the end they were extremely thorough with the final clean up and left the yard pristine. They even washed the roof off from all debris. Overall very pleased with the outcome and quality.

Wow, what an amazing finished product. The entire team is engaged, and has been there with us through this rather stressful project. Our re-stucco experience was informative, efficient, satisfying and enlightening. From the beginning with Matt explaining the entire process and what specifics to ask potential bidders, to Juan coordinating change orders, and Javier and his crew responding to questions and requests. While Tesuque was not the least expensive bid we solicited, their workmanship was far beyond what the others quoted to do. Daily interaction with the crew was reassuring of the progress and the cleanup afterwards was exceptional. Tesuque just finished a complete re-stucco of our home which included rebuilding the parapets. It looks like a new home. Javier and his entire crew really did an excellent job. And they were very professional and neat throughout the process and in the final clean-up of the job. We couldn't be more pleased with our experience with Tesuque Stucco. We had a big project with lots of repairs, challenges, and moving parts. Even so our job was finished two weeks before schedule! Do yourself a favor and Call another Stucco company in Albuquerque, I am having quotes that are literally half the price with the same star reviews. Always get several quotes, don't get involved in the hype of their commercials. Don't let their sales person tell you an hour worth of info. on synthetic verses traditional. ALL stucco companies offer synthetic. Tesuque Please dont use the same excuse of a response that your not sure if I called the correct company. I am validating I did call the correct company Tesuque. You offer this crazy warranty for many years that you price into the job but if your company goes out of business it wont apply. Just like the Solar companies and roof companies offering 10-25year warranties.Stop luring people in with this type of sale tactic. Not impressed!

We determined that we would not be able to meet your needs, at which point we respectfully declined the opportunity to provide an estimate for your project.Regarding our warranty, we have never offered a 10- to 25-year warranty or attempted to use it as a way to lure in customers. We offer a 12-year factory warranty that is based on the high-end products that we use, as not all stucco finishes are created equal. Furthermore, this warranty is assigned to the property and is fully upheld by the manufacturer, meaning that in the unlikely event of a company closure, your 12-year warranty would still be honored. Response from the owner: Hi Crystal, We have the longest warranty in the industry because our stucco is the highest-grade available to withstand our unique southwest climate and our stucco system has proven to last the longest. We have been in business far longer (25 years) than the other stucco contractors out there. We also have an A+ rating with the BBB. Perhaps, you are referring to a different stucco company that subcontracts out all their work to the lowest bidder and has only been in business a short time. We offer a 12-year warranty, but our stucco has held up far longer and we have over 2500 happy customers that agree.
We had an amazing experience with Tesuque Stucco! With Matt, who educated two midwesterners about the entire stucco product and process, with Ramona who always answered tons of questions, and facilitated our weird schedule, and of course, Felipe, Juan, and the rest of their crew, who did all the hard work, prepping and finishing their work professionally and with perfection. We couldn't be more pleased with our new stucco. Eleazar and Juan were amazing and accommodating. The color match was spot on. Our parapets were so damaged that the roof leaked but after repairing them, NO MORE LEAKS. Shout out to Ashton & Marten as well. They were very attentive as well. Marten came to the site several times to check on our progress. I know it was a challenge working around the winter weather but we are so happy to have it done! Thanks guys!

From the very beginning, Matt Mossman was extremely helpful and friendly to include being well versed in the process that I should expect and what kind of product they would be applying to stucco. To include Ramona at the front desk keeping me updated with schedule and what I should expect from arrival to finish. Once Tesuque started applying sealant to finish stucco coat. Foreman Omar and his crew worked throughout the day and kept the area clean and tidy and paid attention to every detail and very genuine in making sure my wife and I were satisfied, I am very happy with the final product. Initially we spoke with Ashton and his knowledge about stucco work was incredible. He was upfront and honest that once one wall in particular was power washed there may be an additional charge as this particular wall showed more damage than the rest of the house. We appreciated his being upfront so there were no surprises when the pre-stucco work was done. Amy went out of her way to decide the best alternative for us to approve the color once it was mixed as I had parent teacher conferences and was unable to run home to approve color and I appreciate how hard she worked to keep me informed and finding resolutions to the matter of color match and throughout the project. Ramona also provided on time information as there was a delay due to the rain we had received. Xavier and his crew did an amazing job both with how they completed the project and cleaned up after as well as reattaching lighting that had to be removed during the stucco project. They were very respectful in all dealings with them personally as well as how they treated our property during the project. Our home has a beautiful new look and we couldn't be happier.

Amazing from start to finish. Jesse was very professional and communicated often with me, even after the job was finished. Omar and his crew were also very professional and considerate in all aspects. Very happy with the final product! The prep-work on the chimney where I was experiencing a roof leak with the old stucco was completed first. They take into consideration the problem areas, and worked with my schedule! Tesuque did an excellent job on my house and it now looks brand new. The old stucco was in bad shape and needed significant repairs. Ashton gave me an estimate and provided great information about what was needed and answered all my follow up questions. The office staff was good about keeping me up to date on the scheduled work. Eleazar and his crew did an amazing job from start to finish which involved rebuilding the parapets and then applying a new base and stucco finish to the whole house. I am very happy with how the results.

I’m very pleased with the work by Tesuque stucco in refinishing the exterior of our house. I think we had a fairly large job and it was complicated by the replacement of six windows and exposed support beams on two separate patios. The overall results were of good quality, looks fantastic and I think we have a coating that will last for a long time.The job started with estimating and I can’t say enough good things about Jesse, who handled our job. He responded quickly when we requested an estimate, did a very thorough job of measuring and checking the condition of our existing stucco and then sat down with us that very same day to review the estimate and recommended coating products. He was very knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions and concerns. While I knew Tesuque had a good reputation, it was really the impression Jesse made that sealed the deal. Note we got three estimates and Tesuque was the highest, although they were all relatively close and cost difference was not a significant factor.But what I really appreciated was that Jesse was proactive in staying in contact with us throughout the job. He was very helpful and patient in the color selection process and very attentive to all of our questions, concerns and requests. There was no doubt in my mind that he wanted us to be happy with the job and would do what it took to achieve that. Although my interface with the project manager Juan and others on the office staff such as Amy was more limited, they were very friendly and I was impressed with their professionalism. For example, I always had advance notice of when crews were scheduled and they always came when promised. Anyone who has been through a big job can attest to how rare that is!The bulk of the work on the job was completed by Omar’s crew. They repaired the stucco for all the replaced windows (which was a big job in itself), applied waterproofing on the parapets, window thresholds and canale splash zones, applied the primer and then the actual color coating. There were some very long days for the team and they were always attentive and a pleasure to work with. Omar in particular did a great job of keeping me informed, seeking feedback and taking care of my concerns. I also appreciate how well he took care of his team, especially on hot days. He’s a strong leader for his crew!The only part of the job not handled by Omar was the repair of stucco where the exposed beams were replaced on the patios. This was handled by Victor’s crew and they did an outstanding job. The bullnose where the stucco meets the beam is highly visible and you want it to look clean and neat. I couldn’t be happier with the results!Another thing worth mentioning. I had two other contractors working on the windows and beam replacement. This caused scheduling headaches and Tesuque had to put the stucco job on hold while the beams were replaced and then they had to come back more than a month after the job was finished to repair the stucco for a final window and then complete the color coating on the respective wall. I really appreciate that they were so flexible in working with me and completed all of the work without a single complaint.We’ve been living with the completed work for some time now and really like how the stucco looks. We used Dryvit stucco and I was initially concerned with how rough it appeared compared to Sto. There also seems to be more void spaces where the surface doesn’t coalesce during application and I thought it might trap more dirt. But I’ve really come to like the look and so far the dirt easily washes off.Again, we’re very pleased and highly recommend Tesuque stucco!

Let’s face it. Stucco jobs are a whole lot of work and might be the most expensive repairs one can make to their house. That was certainly our case in buying a Santa Fe property with stucco that had been poorly executed when new and after more than 20 years of neglect, needed deep and extensive repairs along with a new finish. We recently asked them to bid on repairing or replacing the stucco on our home. They sent out Ashton, who spent about an hour evaluating and explaining our situation. He was professional, knowledgeable and both listened and explained well. While he could have tried to sell us a complete stucco job, he was honest and told us we only needed some repairs. When we eventually do need a complete redo, we'll call these guys first.

Tesuque Stucco was wonderful to work with. Would highly recommend. Even gave us a custom color with exact match and no issues. Junior’s team, and our sales rep Ashton were absolutely perfect in every area of re-stuccoing our home. You pay for what you get. They may cost a little more, but have the best warranty, and expert parapet preparation that will protect us from any future leaks that often come with a flat roof.
