Tesuque Stucco far exceeded any expectations that we had for: 1) Quality of the work, 2) Durability of the product used, 3) Tesuque Stucco’s Reliability, and 4) The sheer aesthetic beauty of the stucco and overall finished job.
Per the Quality of the work. This was not a “slop the stucco on and get paid” project. With their steady pace, it took longer than the other stucco contractors that we had received bids from – i.e., companies located both Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Tesuque Stucco often had over a dozen men on the project at any given time. This is probably the basis for their offering a 12-year warranty.
Per Durability of the product used, Tesuque Stucco did (as their website says) select the highest quality of stucco for the project. This was confirmed by an engineer (our property manager) who did deep “product research” of all available stucco products on the market.
So far, the stucco that Tesuque Stucco applied is holding up like steel through windy/wet/freezing winter weather and the intense Summer heat.
That said, we did have a problem that affected the stucco. The house has a structural issue. The first story is adobe and the second story is regular wood-fame construction. The contraction and expansion between the two caused a slow separation on the outside wall that produced a hairline crack.
When Tesuque Stucco was called for advice, they immediately scheduled a supervisor (Andres) to come and inspect it. I was expecting a typical recommendation that I get my ladder out and caulk it with silicon – which I had tentatively considered to be the easiest/cheapest solution. Or, more likely, I was expecting a robust estimate of cost from Tesuque Stucco to professionally repair the crack.
After showing them the crack I left them for ten minutes to take a phone call, while they got their ladder to do an inspection. When I returned, they were already repairing the crack with an industrial strength fiber sheet and a robust gray cover-coat. And, they were also inspecting the rest of the house for any other needed stucco repairs. When done, Andres then told me that they would return in a week or so, after the repairs had dried, so as to put on the final stucco “color coat” (which would identically match the surrounding walls). Finally, and even more amazing, Andres and Jose said that there would be no charge for the repairs. Who else in New Mexico stands behind their work like this, even when they are not contractually required to do so? By-the-way, Jose did return and put on the “color coat” and it blends perfectly (no repair is visible).
Per Reliability, our property manager said that Tesuque Stucco’s sizable crew was on time and worked diligently. They cleaned up at the end of each day. But, one day, after they left, the wind suddenly blew stacked material all over the place. However, when the property manager called them about this, they immediately sent a whole crew back out to pick up. Tesuque Stucco is not only reliable, but dependable.
Per Esthetic Beauty, our house has exotic angles, curves or contours that would require experience, a steady hand, profound patience, and an artist’s eye to property restore. The house is an art-piece itself. It is said that many stucco contractors exemplify the comment that “anyone who can pick up a trowel can do stucco.” Not so.
We were overseas for more than six months when our house was being renovated and we were awed at the beauty of the stucco when we first spotted the house from the road. We love the way that the house’s exterior presentation has been accented with the stucco to acknowledge its many details, but we also love the stucco’s unique color, texture and consistency.
We understand that Tesuque Stucco is one of the most busy stucco companies in New Mexico (for many reasons), but when scheduling them for a project, if one is patient, Tesuque Stucco Co. is well worth waiting for.

We have used Tesuque twice to restucco our house and shop. Each time the work was flawless. The crew was careful with the application and cleaned up all ares when finished. The color matching was very good.

Felipe and his hard working crew did a beautiful job on our home. They arrived on time every day, were very good communicators, left the property picked up and neat at the end of each day and cleaned the dust and debris off windows and sills at the end of the job. Our salesperson, Matt, did a very good job explaining the Tesuque process and we never felt pressured to accept the bid. Tesuque did a fantastic stucco job on our 16 year old house and we couldn’t be more pleased. We were worried about how they would handle the parapets and the cracks on our free standing privacy walls and sitting walls which were in bad shape. Omar and Juan explained the process and how they used mesh, a water proof material and a Dryvit synthetic stucco to provide superior stucco job. We were also nervous about them matching the original color before it had faded. The samples looked right but when they first applied it the color was too yellow and did not match the sample. The whole team made sure they got the color right and they did! Everyone was professional and a pleasure to work with. I may not remember everyone’s name, but the team included Omar, Alphonso, Junior, Juan, Gethen and Jordan.
We’ve gotten so many compliments on our stucco job and would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a superior stucco job that you will be proud of for years to come. Thank you Tesuque for making our house beautiful again!

I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. If you want excellence, this is the company that believes in excellent customer service and delivers perfection! Ashton was very informative in making the right choice between repairs vs a complete refinish and was very patient while waiting for HOA approval for color changes. You often can judge a company in how it reacts to customer concerns. Tesuque rallied from a less than ideal initial treatment, and at their expense sent a team to reapply a color that better matched expectations. We chose them based on the quality of work; their work applied to our home 10 years ago looks like it was applied yesterday. When our latest job didn't have the color we expected, their service stepped up to match the quality of their craft. Ashton took a look at a water intrusion problem we were having with windows. We weren't sure if it was even necessary to re-stucco our house. After a walk around the house and a good, unhurried conversation, we felt Ashton assessed the situation honestly and clearly. He helped us to understand the condition and we decided not to re-stucco. However, we are strongly inclined to use Tesuque Stucco when we do, because of our interaction with Ashton. I really believe that good relations make for good marketing for businesses and in this case it really paid off.

The total service was outstanding. We just had our house in Rio Rancho completed by Tesuque Stucco. The process was very professional along the way, and they worked within our limited schedule. The entire crew led by Omar was very efficient and carried out their work cleanly and quickly. They cleaned up after each day keeping the house from looking like a construction site. In the end they were extremely thorough with the final clean up and left the yard pristine. They even washed the roof off from all debris. Overall very pleased with the outcome and quality.

Wow, what an amazing finished product. The entire team is engaged, and has been there with us through this rather stressful project. It didn't matter what day, time or who we called, Jordan and Ashton were answering our questions/calls, or calling us back within minutes. The team that prepped my home led by Junior was on point. They protected my property and addressed all of my concerns and made my home ready for the artists that followed. When I thought I was lost, out of the horizon arrives Juan, the project manager, to walk me through some of my project concerns and questions, which were all minimal in reality. The finish crew, led by Victor, were real artists. My home looks better than new, and the finish is impeccable. This is such a large investment, we did our research, and are confident the Tesuque team was the only answer. Sure, if you dig long enough, you can find someone to complain about anything, but in the end, these guys deliver. Our re-stucco experience was informative, efficient, satisfying and enlightening. From the beginning with Matt explaining the entire process and what specifics to ask potential bidders, to Juan coordinating change orders, and Javier and his crew responding to questions and requests. While Tesuque was not the least expensive bid we solicited, their workmanship was far beyond what the others quoted to do. Daily interaction with the crew was reassuring of the progress and the cleanup afterwards was exceptional. We miss all the daily activity but truly can appreciate the peace of mind with the final results.

Tesuque just finished a complete re-stucco of our home which included rebuilding the parapets. It looks like a new home. Javier and his entire crew really did an excellent job. And they were very professional and neat throughout the process and in the final clean-up of the job. Everyone we worked with throughout the entire process, including Matt Mossman , Juan and Geffen were terrific. I highly recommend them.

We couldn't be more pleased with our experience with Tesuque Stucco. We had a big project with lots of repairs, challenges, and moving parts. Even so our job was finished two weeks before schedule! Tesuque Rep Matt Mossman set us up for success and we could tell that everyone in the office was familiar with our job. Filipe and his crew were fast, efficient, and super professional, making sure our site was cleaned up at the end of each work day and the stucco stayed off any spot where it didn't belong. This is a crew that clearly likes to work together and knows exactly what to do. We needed to quickly pull in a few sub-contractors and Tesuque connected us with professionals who we will call in again if we need help with roofing challenges or cement work. Do yourself a favor and Call another Stucco company in Albuquerque, I am having quotes that are literally half the price with the same star reviews. Always get several quotes, don't get involved in the hype of their commercials. Don't let their sales person tell you an hour worth of info. on synthetic verses traditional. ALL stucco companies offer synthetic. Tesuque Please dont use the same excuse of a response that your not sure if I called the correct company. I am validating I did call the correct company Tesuque. You offer this crazy warranty for many years that you price into the job but if your company goes out of business it wont apply. Just like the Solar companies and roof companies offering 10-25year warranties.Stop luring people in with this type of sale tactic. Not impressed!

We are sorry you feel that you did not have a good experience with Tesuque Stucco. Unfortunately, our records do not indicate that we ever went to your home or provided you with a quote. Our understanding is that you called the office and stated that you had lath work already done on your home and were looking for a contractor to complete the remainder of the stucco work. We determined that we would not be able to meet your needs, at which point we respectfully declined the opportunity to provide an estimate for your project.
Regarding our warranty, we have never offered a 10- to 25-year warranty or attempted to use it as a way to lure in customers. We offer a 12-year factory warranty that is based on the high-end products that we use, as not all stucco finishes are created equal. Furthermore, this warranty is assigned to the property and is fully upheld by the manufacturer, meaning that in the unlikely event of a company closure, your 12-year warranty would still be honored. All factory warranties are issued and backed by Tremco, the parent company of Dryvit, which has been in business since 1928. As certified applicators, we are the original owners of Tesuque Stucco. We started the company in 2000, and we proudly stand behind our work and the products that we offer.
Additionally, we are competitively priced with other stucco companies that offer comparable products and services and who are bonded, licensed, and insured. What separates us from other stucco companies is that we have our own employees, on average 40-45 hardworking team members who strive every day to exceed the needs of our customers. No job conducted by Tesuque Stucco is ever subbed out to an unlicensed contractor like many stucco companies do today. Again, we are very sorry that we were not a good fit for you and your current project.
Ashton Tarry came out to our home to evaluate I we had a need for new stucco. He was amazing! He pointed out areas of concern and advised me that we may have 3 to 5 years left. We felt he was very professional and honest with us. I would definitely recommend Tesuque Stucco Co.

Response from the owner:Hi Crystal, We have the longest warranty in the industry because our stucco is the highest-grade available to withstand our unique southwest climate and our stucco system has proven to last the longest. We have been in business far longer (25 years) than the other stucco contractors out there. We also have an A+ rating with the BBB. Perhaps, you are referring to a different stucco company that subcontracts out all their work to the lowest bidder and has only been in business a short time. We offer a 12-year warranty, but our stucco has held up far longer and we have over 2500 happy customers that agree.
We had an amazing experience with Tesuque Stucco! With Matt, who educated two midwesterners about the entire stucco product and process, with Ramona who always answered tons of questions, and facilitated our weird schedule, and of course, Felipe, Juan, and the rest of their crew, who did all the hard work, prepping and finishing their work professionally and with perfection. I would highly recommend Tesuque Stucco for anyone needing stucco work. Our house looks brand new!
